/ SignUpGenius Named One of Parents Magazine’s ‘Best of the Web’
CHARLOTTE — SignUpGenius was named a winner of Parents magazine’s 50 Best of the Web Awards 2016. Parents recognized SignUpGenius, the leading online sign up service for event and volunteer management, as a “Get it Done” product that helps parents solve problems.
“Whether you need to wrangle donations for a class party or round up volunteers for the soccer fundraiser, this service will help you blast out the info, get commitments and send reminders in a fraction of the time of doing it individually or, ugh, sending home a sign up sheet,” the magazine article stated.
Other popular sites included in the list were Common Sense Media, Weelicious.com, PBSKids.org, Bankrate and Honest Toddler.
SignUpGenius helps parents organize everything from team potlucks and parent play dates to school volunteers and church Sunday School helpers. The company was founded in 2008 after CEO Dan Rutledge experienced problems coordinating team snacks and a church small group potluck.
“I believe that time is one of the most precious gifts you can give a parent. By making volunteer scheduling and event planning easier, SignUpGenius allows parents to spend less time organizing and invest more time in the people and activities they care about,” said Marketing Strategist Kate White. “The SignUpGenius team works hard to ensure our site is the most efficient and easy-to-use sign up tool available, one that parents can rely on for all of their organizing needs. We are honored to be recognized with a Parents Best of the Web Award."
