SignUpGenius is hiring a Staff Front-End React Engineer to support user-facing development across the SignUpGenius platform. This is a React/TypeScript role focused on building scalable front-end solutions, improving component architecture, managing application state, enhancing UI quality, and supporting accessibility. We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who values clean, maintainable code, thoughtful user experiences, and strong technical collaboration. The right person will be comfortable contributing to technical decisions, partnering with product, design, and engineering, and helping deliver high-quality features across our products. This role is best suited for a senior-level front-end engineer with strong React/TypeScript experience. Title and compensation will be based on experience within the approved range for this role. If you are passionate about building refined, impactful user experiences and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team, we welcome the opportunity to connect with you!
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- 8+ years building production frontend applications; 5+ years in React/TypeScript.
- Strong command of modern React: hooks, component composition, context, Suspense, server components awareness
- Experience with state management approaches and knowing when each is appropriate
- 5+ years implementing high-fidelity designs from Figma or equivalent: responsive layouts, motion, micro-interactions, typography
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, code review culture, and long-term front-end maintenance
- Comfort with build systems and tooling: Vite, Webpack, Nx, monorepo strategies, and knowing when to change what’s there
- Systems thinking for design systems: tokens, theming, accessibility, composable component APIs
- Clear written and verbal communication: concise docs, thoughtful PR reviews, ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical partners
- Self-directed and able to manage your own work without constant oversight
- Proven architect-level impact: you’ve set technical standards, led ADRs, mentored engineers, and made framework-level decisions on large-scale products
- Experience evaluating and recommending tooling across build systems, testing frameworks, state management, and component documentation
- Track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives and driving engineering quality improvements
- Ability to create and maintain architecture roadmaps and communicate technical strategy to engineering leadership
- Demonstrated ability to scope roadmap deliverables.
- AI-augmented workflow: you use tools like Claude, Copilot, or Cursor for research, scaffolding, tests, and refactors—and you critically review every line
Strong pluses:
- Angular experience (any version) – priority for cross-framework engineers who can work across both React and Angular codebases.
- Micro-frontend architecture experience (Module Federation, single-spa, or similar)
- Experience with distributed architectures, web services, and REST API design.
- Experience owning front-end architecture decisions across an entire product or organization.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate legacy systems and drive modernization strategies.
- Comfort working with and presenting to technical and non-technical executives.
- Experience developing integration strategies across systems and onboarding acquired products onto shared platforms.
Terms of Employment:
- Full Time
- Salary: DOE
- Remote work environment – this role requires availability in the US Eastern time zone. Candidates must be based in the US and in ET or a directly compatible US time zone.
- Core collaboration hours are 9 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET.
- Start Date: Immediately
